love these new playgrounds. It’s so important to improve, invent and design playgrounds not only for smaller children, but adolescents or even adults.
On a vacant lot close to the Oil Museum in Stavanger (Norway), Helen & Hard has built a colorful playground with a participatory process that involved local youth groups. The surfaces and installations were created repurposing resources from the offshore oil industry. The area offers a great variety of activities including skating, climbing, beach volleyball, concerts and dance events.

I loved it since I saw it: you’re lying on a meadow, but you’re actually not, you’re above it. Then I read in the project description the plants are aromatic ones, which made it even more interesting for me.
